I’m drawn to the human face in all its complexities, and its capacity to reveal so much of a person’s story. Since my oldest son was born in 2007, I’ve been especially interested in capturing the particular wisdom and innocence of young people. I believe that a a child's face can provide a glimpse of who they are as a person, even before they’ve fully become that person. I love looking back on portraits of children years later, and the feeling of inevitability it engenders—“of course, this is who you always were, even at two years old.”

I studied art and design at Amherst College, MassArt, Parsons New School for Design, and NJ Center for Visual Arts. When I’m not painting, you can find me perfecting my gluten free cooking, running a private coaching and virtual assistant practice, reading, making crafts, and enjoying time outside. I have three children at home who share my love for art, reading, and nature.
